"Basking in the clouds of clout" is such a great line haha funny and deep. Enjoyed this a lot Rachael! Masterful way of "threading" two such different subjects that I would've never thought of relating, while making us learn a lot. I'm with you on looking fame from afar and being very cautious of it. Great way to reminds us all of that.
"I’d rather tend my humble life than spend my days admiring the fruitful lives of celebrities. I will nurture my humble life with loved ones, long swims, slow dinners, quiet travels, and damn good novels.

I loved this Rachael! You are truly a master wordsmith. This was so playful and fun to read. At the same time, I love this comparison you’ve surfaced. I think it is really interesting that celebrities have replaced Greek Gods and Goddesses. The comparisons seem endless once I start to think of them. There’s something to combining fame, power, money and mischievousness that is timeless.
Also, reading this makes me want to deep dive into Greek mythology. Great piece!
