Haha so Saturday morning blues! It got me wondering: the proverbial unicorn, the kind of people who love their job so much that they never feel there needs to be work brain vs life brain, do they exist? I suppose so, but even those I know who love what they do, want to take a break from time to time. Also "zesty" is perhaps my favorite adjective ever ;)

Zesty is such a fun way to describe people. I suppose it's akin to "joie de vivre" :)

Oooh that icebreaker question is a good one. I'm going to have to have a deep think about it. Lovely edition as always!

Dang! Productivity Hangover. You keep pulling these super useful distinctions out of your hat. This one is going to stick with me. (He said, while banging away at his keyboard on Saturday.) But in my defense I engage a lot of rest and play during the week.

I love your approach to rest and play! We can build smaller moments of rest & play into each day. Who says we need to save it all for the weekend. Time to break a rule :)

Excellent issue, Rach. Love the subject. One of those that can easily push you down the "philosophy of the meaning of the word WORK" rabbit hole. And I just loved this: "The next time you feel overwhelmed or discouraged, practice being enthusiastic to establish new cognitive habits, which will eventually become more authentic."

And thank you so much for the shout out! :) <3

Such a great and timely piece today! Post writing cohort I’m sure we’re all feeling some sense of productivity and emotional hangovers, I know I am. I enjoy at least one weekend day with no plans or agenda, the wandering around gives me freedom and creativity to do whatever my body and soul need to recharge. To more playfulness and creativity! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Kelly! I love the idea of protecting one weekend day to do anything your body and soul needs. There's something so spontaneously sacred about this. We can give our creativity the space to roam free :)
